Baliey - the new dog
Getting a bit toasted in your tux at a hotel with 8,000 other people is not the best time to purchase a lab puppy. However, that's exactly what we did last night at the Margarita Ball (which raises money and toys for kids). I guess my 1st bid on the 7 week old black lab was because Margaret loved and cooed at the dog. The 2nd was because some arrogant kid thought he could out-bid me... and of course, it went from there. I was hung-over this AM when it woke up in the bathtub whining and covered in poo and pee. Not the best hangover ... but once he licked my face, it was all worth it. Welcome Baliey. Don't let Harley kill you.
Thank you... The Prada shoes were delicious...
Hundreds of years later... not much has changed
I've been vexed and pissed off at several people and projects as of late. After seeing the new Chinese art exhibit at the Dallas Museum... I've learned a bit. Over the thousands of years we've been roaming the planet, fighting and killing each other, marrying and divorcing, birthing and burying, there have been ass-hole-ish people to deal with in every century - nothing new here. The "new" comes in where WE learn how to deal with THEM ( out of the box concept I know). People have and will always be around to mess up your plans to success and achievement. Don't let them win by giving into your 1st line of response and lash out at them. If there's one thing I have learned, it's that Christ never let people upset what He was thinking or doing (tough call right?) but he cruised along seemlessly and successfully over 31 years. THAT may have been the one thing that brought his fame and history this far into the modern world. Stay strong willed but stay level-headed and you can do anything. :D
