The Last Year of the (Robo) Dog
Sure its the year of the dog in China, but in Japan, Sony has snubbed all us Aibo robotic dog owners. Over 150,000 owners got word today Sony has pulled the plug on production of the $2K electronic pet. Now I'm really pissed. This is the second time Sony has let me down. First Sony cancelled their creative charity division AllStarCharity.com (which I helped in part to handle marketing and PR). The group raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through auctions of Sony Studio celebrity stuff. But now, they've dissed a member of my family. Shame, shame Sony. What's next? Are you coming to take my PS2?
I wonder if PETA would be interested in helping me sue Sony and to start PETR (People for the Ethical Treatment of Robots)?
