The Celebrity Life & Blog of DM
Fine ChinaOk, we need to give China a break. I mean, here they've probably spent more money and time than any other government in Olympic history by closing major factories, building creative-iconic structures, diverting traffic, forcing its citizens to clean up seaweed, etc. They tried really hard to host the Olympics in a way no country has before. They needed to win big to! So what if their government lied about the age of their gymnasts. Our own government has lied to us about worse things (see recent news on "Iraq"). So, ok... give China a break. Whatever, they lied, we all know she's like 14. Speaking of that... why make such a fuss when a 14 yr old girl can kick your Olympic asses? I mean, really. A fourteen year old girl can beat you and you complain?? She needs two gold medals I think.
"Mad Men" Totally Rips Off Our Concept
So, I'm just now catching up on the whole
"Mad Men" craze, and watched an episode last night. I'm fascinated by it as it has shadows of David Lynch in its writing and directing and of course, it's about an advertising agency.
SO... about half way through my pre-DVR edit, a scene comes up where a certain "Mrs. Barrett" enters Draper's (main character - creative director at the agency). She is impetuous and flirt y. Blonde and wealthy. She announces she wants her "own tv show"... Draper asks her about it and she tells him the concept and
then announces the name of it...
"Grin & Barrett"... "I made it up myself."
ORLY?
