"Edgar"
I'm still recovering from the
"24 Hour Dallas Video Race". This was my 1st year to be part of this intense-insane-indoor-outdoor-scavengerhunt production. We had an awesome team of people to pull off the 5 min short (all of which had to be written, cast, shot and edited in less than 24 hours). Our requirements: Location: a playground; Theme: Easy Money; Prop: ladder; Line: "you can have it". Curt Johnson wrote the comedy
"Edgar" after we tossed around several ideas at
Denny's around 1:00am Saturday. 5 'Grandslams' & 12 coffees later, we were back at my house with Curt writing away. I was downloading soundeffects and collecting tunes. Tony Estrada worked on software and shotlists while Harley watched. The actors and crew were terrific and patient. As editing frantically wrapped up saturday night, we finished and raced to the
Magnolia Lounge at Fair Park with only 7 mins. to spare. Exhausted but happy, we'll have "Edgar" show along with the other projects Tuesday May 11th at the
Angelika Theater in Mocking Bird Station. Thanks to
HD Republic,
ECI Video and our cast & crew!
