DM, Fuse Networks and Boston...
Life is moving pretty fast this month. Curt has been busy ExecProducing
"Michael Moore Hates America" in MN and here at home, we're wrapping up details on a huge co-production project with
Fuse TV to cover the national conventions! This is exciting stuff since I love film, politics and music ... I'm in Nirvana. Lot's to do however and I feel a bit stress-out (in a good creative, driven manner however). Look for more this thursday when we launch the webstite
"America Speaks Out" with a press release. Proceeds from the movie will benefit
The Creative Coalition, St. Jude’s Hospital, Project Vote Smart and
Music For All Foundation. The theme will be a 'behind the curtain' look at the political conventions. How they come together, who attends them and why. It will be educational, entertaining and humorous (think CNN meets the "Daily Show".) .
Toronto and a funeral...
I'm very sad to type this... today, Margaret had to say 'goodbye' to her father. He had been in the hospital about a week with several health complications including phenomena. We found out wed and flew out thursday (thank God for "AA" mileage points). The service today was quite pleasant and actually made me feel somewhat happy after I had been feeling very sad (especially for Margaret and her family). The day ended up being somewhat of a 'celebration' honouring her dad and a day where family and friends were able to interact, cry, laugh and share emotions. I learned a lot more about my father-in-law and even a little bit more about myself.
If you ever wonder if you're doing what's right in life, pause and think what your family and friends would say about you at your funeral and it puts it all in perspective.
:)
