Thanks to those (pre)Retirement Funds!
I felt really guilty and bad about taking (er, rather borrowing) $30,000 from our 401(k) accounts last month. I mean, that's supposed to be there for when you're like 70 or something... somewhere near the year 2041 when money is worthless and we have to bike everywhere with solar panels on our backs. But, alas - I had to do it to keep things afloat for my business and home expenses. But NOW, the U.S. Treasury has decided America is also reaching a really bad cash crunch, so congress today is 'borrowing' from the civil service pension fund. Hey! I'm not the only one! And the amount they are taking out is more than mine to - $63,000,000,000 billion
. WoW! That's like me 'borrowing' my $30,000 every single hour of a typical work day -- every single day - for over 82 years! Kick ass! Now I don't feel so bad. Hell, I may not even pay the 30K back to my 401(k), I'm sure the government won't pay theirs.
